Gaston Martens (° 24 April 1883 + 10 May 1967) originally worked in his father's brewery. Later he started writing plays, culminating in his comedy "Birds of Paradise". This play was eventually staged in 34 countries and filmed with Fernandel and Raimu in the leading roles.
