Hollow roads in Pajottenland

With the church of Beert (V) on the hill on your right, start towards exit 26. At the first fork, turn right. Go up the Hollestraat, past the municipal school until you reach exit 26. Turn left onto Hoevestraat, direction 25, through an open landscape. At the fork, keep right. At the intersection, follow the Nieuw Baan on the right, onto a green cycle lane. At the first crossroads, just before the sign for the Bellingen agglomeration, turn left into Nerebosstraat. You can go down a bit. At the fork, keep right. Ignore a street on the right and the street name becomes Terheugenstraat. Then take a narrow road for farm vehicles on the right until you reach the T. Turn right until exit 25, then straight ahead, direction 29. At the fork, turn right onto Terkammenstraat towards Bellingen. Just before the white Hof ter Kammen 1 (18th-19th century) turn left, with a beautiful view of the village center of Bellingen from the narrow path. Turn left onto the T. You go up to Bogaarden and almost right to the church in the Teleweidestraat. You wind down winding between soft buildings. Just after a 1914 farm, you arrive at junction 29. Turn left onto Plutsingenstraat, direction 30. On the T with the chapel and the mirror turn right. Now there is a beautiful part with narrow, winding and hollow roads. After a short climb, you will arrive at exit 30. Turn right, direction 39, immediately after the Kester name sign and with beautiful views. On the T, follow Patattestraat on the left. You cycle between two canals, cross the Bruggeplasbeek and continue to the center of Kester. Follow Brede Bruneaustraat on the right. You pass the church of Kester, leave the road of Pepingen on the right and continue straight, direction Gooik and Asse. After the Jagershof, take the first road on the left.

Along the radar sphere, cross the Edingsesteenweg and continue pedaling through the hollow Kesterweg. In the distance you can see the white radar sphere of NATO 2 . At exit 39, turn right towards 40 and go up a hollow road to the white NATO sphere of SATCOM Kester. Cycle - and skip the back roads - passing a beautiful country chapel and a magnificent panorama to the crossroads with the striking chapel, like an arrow. Turn right until you reach Lenniksestraat. Continue straight until you reach the busy Ninovesteenweg. Cross carefully, briefly left and immediately right into Zwartschaapstraat, until you reach exit 40 a little further. Continue straight ahead towards 60 and follow Wolvenstraat. At the junction of a 1911 chapel, keep left. Pass the Strijland agglomeration sign, cross an intersection and continue through the Letterkundestraat. At a fork you continue straight ahead and descend towards the Molenbeek with a cross and a bench. Then go back into civilization and turn left into Ekelendriesstraat. At the white chapel of 1953 you turn right. On the left, behind a meadow, is a farm with the year 1908 incorporated into the roof. Leave the Kelenbergstraat and continue by bike to the first intersection. Follow the Drie Egyptenstraat to the square with a field cross and junction 60. Turn right into the narrow Bettestraat, direction 89. First in a piece of hollow road, then you climb between the meadows to a T. On the left, on a hill, stands the white chapel of the desert (1600) 3 Turn left at exit 89 then right, direction 16. Skip the back roads and pass the legendary Den Haas 4 café. Zeppos and the Hertboommolen Continue on a gravel road until you can turn left just after a grove, to Gooik's name. At a crossroads of hollow roads, you reach the Hertboommolen 5 and the Hertboommolenmuseum. Turn right across the Windmillstraat until you reach the centre of O.-L.-V.-Lombeek. Pass the café-restaurant De Kroon, the Pajottenland café and the church, then turn left before De Snelle Friet. Turn right onto the T, with a nice view of O.-L.-V.-Lombeek. At the fork with a cross on the left, turn right onto Tuitenbergstraat. Then take the Puttekensveldweg on the left and at the first intersection on the right the Molenstraat, until exit 16 at the crossroads with the football pitches. Continue straight, direction 17. Cross the N285 and follow the Molenstraat to the square with the chapel under the trees. Turn right into Sint-Barbarastraat and meander through the meadow landscape with the Opperbusingenstraat. At the crossroads, take the Katteklauwstraat on the left. Ignore all secondary roads until you can take a path for cyclists through the forest on the left. At the end, turn left, then right into Palokenstraat. The road becomes hollow and when you exit after a climb, you will be rewarded with a beautiful panorama of Sint-Martens-Lennik. At the end of Palokenstraat, turn right and on the T, turn left until you reach the intersection with the Cheers café and exit 17. Pedal between the poles and follow the path for cyclists towards the 18. Further on, the path runs parallel to the procession route and at the intersection you follow Kruiskouterstraat on the left until you reach the T with exit 18. Turn right, pass a large orchard and between the meadows, direction 21. At the end of Bossuitstraat, follow the Rosweg on the left, a narrow paved road. Ignore secondary roads until you can turn right into Paardenstraat, past a square farm and further between fields and meadows. At the fork, you keep right and continue cycling to the Brusselsesteenweg. Turn left onto the cycle path on the other side and take the Kwadewegenstraat in front of the Lindemans brewery (1871) 6 on the right, a clearly well-chosen name. Panoramas It continues gently hilly between fields to junction 21. The intersection passes through the Kwadewegenstraat, direction 22, briefly on asphalt, then on a paved road with a narrow strip of concrete on both sides. Just after the Vlezenbeek agglomeration sign, you come to a crossroads with a building tower. Straight ahead, in the narrow Kamstraat. At the crossroads with the O.-L.-V.-Lourdes cave is exit 22. Turn right at Inkendaalstraat, direction 23. At the junction of the football pitches, follow the Obbeekstraat on the left and at the end, on the T, turn right until you reach the mini roundabout of the Vijfhoek chip shop, with exit 23. Turn left and pedal down Hemelrijkstraat, around 71, on a gravel road between meadows and fields. After a short strip of cobblestones, follow a paved road to the right. After a bend and a white chapel, turn right on the T with a mirror until exit 71. Turn left towards Halle and cross the Zuunbeek until exit 72. Continue to follow Brabantsebaan straight ahead, direction 27, with the VRT 7 transmission tower of Sint-Pieters-Leeuw diagonally on the left. Leave the driveway and Budingen Castle on the right and turn right into Wedemstraat. Descend to the Wedembosbeek, cross them and continue pedaling along an impressive white farm. At the fork, follow Den Boooijen on the left. On the right you can see the bell tower of the church of Breedhout. Cross a priority road and continue following Den Booien until you reach the T. Right. Via the Vlieringendreef, a narrow paved road, you reach the Lenniksesteenweg. Turn left and then right onto Scheyssingen, until you reach Ninoofsesteenweg. Cross carefully and cross the Haagstraat to the T with exit 27. Follow Beertsestraat on the right, direction 26. Turn right on the T and you can already see the bell tower of the church of Beert. Turn left onto Johan De Maegtstraat until you reach the starting point.
