Honeymoon tour around Dhuy

You leave with the church of Dhuy (V) on your left. Ignore a cul-de-sac on the left and the Warisoulx road on the right. Then turn left into Rue de Baille. You climb gently through fields, towards the church of Upigny. At the end of the road, turn left, continue on a narrow concrete road. Ignore the road to Château Bayard on the left, choose the right at the fork (dead end straight) and continue by bike to the first intersection. On the right, you see the church of Upigny. Take Rue de la Croix d'Or on the left, to the end, with a small castle on the other side. Follow the N912 on the left and walk along the imposing farm of Upignac 1. Ignore the rue de Ghel on the right, cross the Mehaigne and take the Chemin de Mélet on the right. Leave Rue des Aunes on the right. Go around the Mêlet farm and follow a hollow road to a T-junction. Follow the narrow concrete road on the left, with an information panel on the cultivation of Upignac ducks (right) and foie gras production. You arrive at the road to Perwez. Right. Don't worry about side roads and turns in Liernu with the wide road left and then right. The great oak of Liernu At the T-junction with a chapel, turn left. Continue to follow the Perwez road until 100 m further in the right turn. Continue straight, direction 'Gros Chêne' and Liernu Museum. You pass the church with Belgium's oldest oak 2 in front and don't worry about side streets until you can turn right into a hollow road, with an end agglomeration sign at the beginning. You drive next to an orchard, with an information panel halfway on the right on fruit growing in Haspengouw in Namur. Turn along the orchard and ignore a road on the left. Enjoy a beautiful view with wind turbines in the background.

It continues to gently undulate between fields and meadows. Back to civilization, the road widens. Continue cycling to the T-junction with a small chapel across the street: Chapel of Our Lady of La Salette (1855). You are again on the road to Perwez and follow it on the left, after the agglomeration sign of Aische-en-Refail. At the crossroads with the chapel, take the road to Gembloux (direction Gembloux) on the left. At the end, turn right, then immediately left, so almost straight into the narrow, hollow road. It climbs slowly and when the road stops being hollow, the wind turbines seem very close. At the intersection with the Gadave farm turn left into the Chaussée de Romaine passing in front of the wind turbines. Don't worry about back roads and cross the E411. At the bottom left are the car parks with petrol stations next to the motorway. From farm to farm, Fiets on the other side continues to the first quadrilateral. The wide road turns left, you pedal straight into the narrow road for local traffic, smoothly, with a 360° panorama. Continue to the Five Star Junction, with a white chapel. Take Rue du Bathy on the left and pass in front of the Bati farm until you reach the crossroads. Straight on, there is a road to the Long Pont farm. You pedal left, between Les Etangs du Long Pont, still in the province of Namur. Take the first road on the right. Just after it is a beautiful mill transformed into a house, of which only the blades are missing. You pedal along a narrow concrete road to the intersection of the Pont des Pages. Just before that, a dirt road was added from the right. At the crossroads straight into the rue du Try Lambord and passed a farm with pony club. You cross the Orneau and the road surface worsens. After leaving a narrow concrete road, the road became almost completely unpaved. Past a farm, you are presented with a paved strip that would not look out of place in Paris-Roubaix. Then again on the asphalt. In front of the firm La Motte is the beautiful chapel Notre-Dame de Lorette 3. Continue to the T-junction, with on the other side, behind a meadow, the castle-farm of Liroux. Follow rue de la Peau de Chien on the left. At the end, on the T, turn right into Rue de Lonzée. Turn left, pass the Lonzée agglomeration sign, then take rue de Saint-Denis (direction St-Denis) on the left. You cross the Arton and ignore on the right the beautiful red beech road to the Old Abbey and the Argenton Farm 4. Cross the Beaufau stream and walk along the Beaufau farm. Continue straight, make a left-right chicane and continue cycling towards Saint-Denis. After the first houses, the concrete road widens. Keep following until the end. You are now on the N912. On the left, you see the church of Saint-Denis. Turn right and then the first street on the left, ruelle Mouchet. Past a chapel of 1894, you arrive at a priority road with mini roundabout. Continue straight on Rue du Moulin. Ignore a road on the left and pass the Bovesse nameplate and the agglomeration sign. In the bend you take the rue de la Distillerie on the left. At the entrance of the Old Château de la Distillerie 5, currently a "modern" castle and restored tower, turn left and then turn right along the estate. On the right is the Bois Thibaut, with information panel. Over the vineyards, continue to follow the road towards Domaine de Chenoy. After a right turn, turn left and pass the buildings and vineyards of Domaine de Ry d'Argent 6. Further on the right, ignore the access to the Domaine du Chenoy and pedal further to the crossroads with a picnic area on the right under the trees and the Old Farm of Saint-Martin on the other side. Left. Continue on a slightly hilly paved road to the first intersection. Here, on the right, in the rue de Canevaux, to the end. Follow Rue de la Seumoy on the left and turn right immediately right onto Rue de la Bruyère. At the end is the farm of Bruyère 7, already mentioned in 1241. On the T, follow Rue du Hazoir on the right. Ignore a road on the left, pass the Hazoir farm and cross the Bois stream. Climb slowly, just across a hollow road and pass the Emines nameplate. In the bend, leave the Trieux de Frêne on the right and immediately after take the rue des Laderies on the left. You cross an intersection and continue cycling between meadows and fields and pass in front of the Villers-lez-Heest nameplate. Then you cycle along the Place de Villers and you arrive at the NamurPerwez road. Turn left and immediately right onto Rue de Warisoulx. In the center of Warisoulx, you turn at the mini roundabout around the church and continue cycling towards Dhuy. At the five jumps diagonally left into the rue de Boscailles and cross the highway. On the Bois de Mehaigne stream, follow the T of rue du Grand Sart on the left. A little further you pass in front of the impressive farm of Grand Sart 8. Cross a crossroads and leave the hamlet of Petit Sart. Further and further until you can turn left into the small rue Thiry. At the end turn right and at the T, turn left. The church of Dhuy is now nearby.
