The water-rich area of Blankaart has always attracted large concentrations of waterfowl. The low meadows and hay meadows provide the backdrop against which the hiking trail runs. You start at Blankaart Castle and walk through a series of meadows that are part of the De Blankaart nature reserve. Then you walk for a long time through the "winter bed of the IJzer" to the water reservoir of De Blankaart. On the way back, you walk through the De Rhille district and pass by the center of the same name, BLOSO.
