The hiking trail explores the Galgebossen, located at the border between Elverdinge, Vlamertinge, and Poperinge. The forests are the remnant of a forest that stretched from Beselare to Watou but disappeared between the 9th and 14th centuries. Those interested in fauna and flora can find joy here. Connoisseurs can even distinguish small lily of the valley among century-old oaks, a nearly unique wild-growing plant for this region! For those interested in the war history of the area, the path passes by the Hagle Dump Cemetery.
