The route explores a remnant of the Gavermeersen between Harelbeke and Deerlijk. Once, this area formed a continuous complex of low wet meadows and grasslands. At the center is the provincial area De Gavers, which has been set up as a versatile recreational area. The riding route leads around the Gaverplas, which was created by sand extraction for the construction of the E17 motorway. The route takes you through woodlands and along designed nature reserves. You can enjoy a peaceful walk in the green lung of an urbanized environment.
