Hilly of Braine-le-Château

Meet at the Grand'Place (V) in Braine-le-Château. Move from the church to the 16th century bailiff's house in Rue des Comtes de Robiano and stroll along the castle wall and the Banal Mill (1226)1 on the Hain. Turn left onto Saint-Roch Street. Turn right and take the Sentier des Communes Prés (at the bank) on the left. On the T, turn left and continue along the church path to the end. On the left is the Pink Farm (1587). Turn right along the edge of the forest. Don't worry about side roads and turn onto the T with the road, turn right. The road becomes hollow and after a bend you arrive at a triangular square with a brick chapel. Keep left and follow Rue Saint-Roch to the first chapel on your right. Take the Monts trail ascending on the right. The road becomes hollow and moves through the forest. At the junction into the forest straight. You enter a street and have a beautiful panorama in front of you. Left. At the junction of the yellow house straight, direction Chapelle Sainte-Croix (16th century)2. If you want to see them, turn left. Our visit goes straight. Follow Rue de la Vallée until you reach the bend of a paved road. Take the path of the church (except Cyclists) on the right. You enter a street and follow it on the right until you reach the N28. Cross it and continue walking along Landuyt Street. Go up to a white chapel and turn right into the Fiefs trail. At the end of the road, turn left and immediately right into Rue des Escarbilles. Ignore the Sainte-Anne trail on the left and the Bouclettes trail on the right and climb further to the right. Ignore a church path with a turnstile on the left and turn right onto Avenue du Beau Séjour. Ignore the path at Bouclettes and Rue des Radoux and turn right into Rue du Drabe. Go right T. It descends steeply and at the fork you turn left until you reach the traffic lights. Cross the road and the Hain and pass under the railway bridge to the Ferme Deschamps. Turn right and immediately left next to the farm in a country road. First a wide field path, with a beautiful view of the keep of the Seigneurie Deschamps (16th century)3, then a narrow path through the fields. The path turns towards Rue Minon, which becomes Rue de la Clairière. Ignore the Mourlan trail on the left, pass a villa with a large lawn and ignore the forest path on the left where step 9 enters. In front of the house with white façade and yellow side façade, take the country road on the right, into the forest. Go down at the bend of the path of the Bois de Clabecq. Take right here. Don't worry about side roads and walk straight at the end of the street on a wide path between the gardens. Cross another street and continue walking to the N28. On the other side, continue through the Baraque trail to the Vieux Chemin de Nivelles. Right. Leave the Muraes trail and turn left into the Piftin trail. Turn right with the path, turn left on the T and follow the Camarand trail to a square. Turn with the path to the right, cross a street and go straight into the path down from the church (except cyclists). After a few turns, you cross a street and walk next to a mirror in the next path to the church. It turns into a street called Sentier de la Pariselle. Turn with the road to the right and at the end, to the left of a playground and a petanque court, enter straight into a last church path. The path becomes the Vieux Chemin de Nivelles. Leave Cabiau Street on the right, turn left at the end with the road and turn right at the intersection. Cross the old railway, nod left-right and continue to the Grand'Place with Pillory 4, the old pillory from 1521.
