In September 2018, 50 AZ Maria Middelares employees will take part in a three-day bike ride for the benefit of the "Back on Track" fund with the motto "Strong Together".
This fund, founded by Thomas Van der Plaetsen and AZ Maria Middelares, raises funds to make the treatment of cancer patients more bearable by focusing on psychosocial guidance, rehabilitation programs, ...
On the second day, AZ Maria Middelares participants pedal through the First World War Front region, with special attention to the Ypres Salient.
The first and third days are located under the cycle routes "SamenSterk201801" and "SamenSterk201803".
The three-day event is organized by IKG (Integrated Cancer Centre Ghent).
