The Nobel route lies in the central axis of the region of Waas. From Sint-Gillis, the path leads over Sint-Niklaas and Belsele. Subsequently, the route continues through Sint-Pauwels, Kemzeke, and the forests of Stekene to the border with Zeeuws-Vlaanderen in Heikant. The last section follows the banks of the Stropersbos and an old railway embankment back to the starting point.
By the way, Nobel is the king from the Reynaert story. He would be particularly proud of the Roomanmühle in Sint-Pauwels, the largest stone windmill in our country. The numerous chapels along the route and the surprisingly wooded surroundings in the north of Waasland are striking.
