Loop hike in a clockwise direction, mostly along hiking junctions (wkp).

WKP: 151-140-139-190-146-144-152-123-191-198-197- we hike upstream along the Rupel-99-123-152-96- follow towards 148 along the water and take the first path on the left until -149-Partly follow direction 279, but ultimately go straight to the church of Heindonk.
Turn left and at the church take the first right (E. Verheydenstraat) and follow straight down the field path to the end, then right behind the farm to the left and stay left to follow the Kievitstraat to the stream: follow the Gentvliet to the left (northward) until the Dijle, which we follow to the right on the bank path towards WKP 85. Here we have a magnificent view of the 3 'holes'. The left waterway is the Dijle, in the middle behind the lock is the canal Leuven-Dijle and on the right is the Zenne. Cross the Zenne bridge-85- immediately left over the brown pub Zennegat 13 to WKP 86-87- with a wide view of the latest floodplain and tidal area, which better protects the Rivierenland from flooding and simultaneously allows biodiversity for plants and animals to develop rapidly. We retrace our steps back to WKP 85 and follow on to 188. Here, leave the asphalt to the right and follow the valley of the Gentvliet to the first fork on the left, and again the first left and then twice the first right until we reach Steenweg on Heindonk, which we also follow to the right over wkp 264-151 to the parking lot at the start. A little further, we may find refreshments and something to satisfy our hunger at Bistro Boathouse with a lovely view of the watersports track as a bonus.
