Adventurous walks along the castle villages of Merendree, Vinderhoute and Lovendegem. Flowery hay fields, rows of pollarded willows and ditches make up one of the best preserved natural areas of the Meetjesland. Halfway through the hike there is a short climb over some cattle locks, consisting of a fence with steps. Discover a scenic gem a stone's throw from Ghent. Strong walkers combine the two hiking loops into one big hiking adventure.
