Wezemaal

In Wezemaal, you will find all the features of Hageland. The steep, wooded Diestiaan hills rise high above the Demer Valley. Fruit cultivation flourishes there, and viticulture has also left its mark. At the edge of the hills, you dive into the valleys of the Demer and its tributary Winge, where on Wijngaardberg you discover the largest orchard in the country. You should definitely undertake this hike in spring when the apple and pear trees are in bloom.
STARTING POINT
You can reach the church in Wezemaal by taking the E314 at exit 21-Holsbeek and driving towards Rotselaar. At the roundabout with the N19, turn right towards Aarschot. After 1.5 km, at the traffic lights in Wezemaal, take the second street on the right.
PARKING
You can reach the Wezemaal square by taking the first side street on the left in Kerkstraat.
TYPE OF ROAD
Gravel, earth, and asphalt paths.
ACCESSIBILITY
Impossible for strollers and wheelchairs; some common steep slopes.
