Corbion, Poupehan, Rochehaut and Frahan - a little easier

The route is called "a little easier" because there is a slightly more difficult version: the most difficult hike with a particularly spectacular viewpoint "Roche des Corbeaux" , with 18 km and 455 meters of altitude difference instead of 14 km and 342 meters of altitude difference here. .

Poupehan is the village where Prime Minister Wilfried Martens, union leaders and the governor of the central bank met secretly in a chalet in the 1980s to avoid the economic crisis. The government was about to fall and that inspired me to see the statue of the Virgin Mary overturned in a small chapel. In conclusion: It was here in Poupehan that the cornerstone for the recovery policy of the following years was laid.

The walk is a wonderful day trip with 4 stops - starting at a car park on a bend in the Corbion to Poupehan road, Corbion is the first to make an early stop.

We make a shorter but steep descent to Poupehan , where it is possible to make a second stop.

Now we climb "Dessus les Wintchires", a rock ridge , which we follow to Rochehaut.

Of course we enjoy the famous view over Frahan in Rochehaut and the many restaurants invite us to make another stopover.

The way back is via the Semois: descent via the Pont de Frahan (one more station? or enough?) to reach the starting point past the old tobacco barns .
