Description by the author

Park at the Ninove sports hall, which is close to the Dender and you can park there for free. When cycling along the towpath along the Dender you will encounter numerous water birds: herons, ducks, geese, ... You can even spot storks. There are also various locks along the Dender. In Geraardsbergen you can stop for a tasty matte pie. On the way back you stop at the provincial domain De Gavers. Here you can cycle along the lakes and swim in good weather.
