The Flemish Ardennes at their best

The Flemish Ardennes is not only a beautiful region for cycling enthusiasts, but hikers can also enjoy a lovely tour through the various Flemish hills, forests, and fields.

Starting point

Center of Etikhove, parking is available at the church or in one of the surrounding streets.

Tour

Relatively easy tour, but there are many ups and downs with a positive elevation gain of 700 m, which makes it quite demanding. The hills along the route are the Koppenberg, Rotelenberg, Waaierberg, and Paterberg. The tour partly follows paved and partly unpaved paths, some of which go through agricultural land (so you might have to briefly walk through the corn depending on the season...). Some seldom-used paths are sometimes overgrown with the necessary thorns (thorns, blackberries, ...). Halfway through, you pass through the center of Kwaremont, where you can visit a terrace; also, upon arrival in Etikhove, there is a cozy village café to enjoy after the tour.
