Direction Citadel of Namur and trip to the city center ;)

This "sporty" route is identical to the 24-kilometer long route, to which an 11-kilometer loop has been added, leading you to the banks of the Maas (La Plante) to climb the Citadel of Namur, but also to the center of the Walloon capital.

This "detour" brings more elevation changes but also requires more technique. At kilometer 9.3, do not turn left (returning to the 24-km route) and continue straight on the gravel-covered and pleasant path towards the Citadel. When you reach the paved main road (Av de la Vecquée – kilometer 10.4), turn right for a few dozen meters and take a technical descent at the Canadian Chapel (Le Tienne Hôla) that leads you to La Plante.

A little peace awaits you at the banks of the Maas before you climb the Citadel via a steep path with the lovely name "Tienne des biches"... Keep going!

You reach the Beautiful Street. Do not turn left (that comes later!) and make sure to take a macadamized staircase leading upwards right in front of you... one last effort and you are at the Citadel square, which you cross to descend to the Sambre, to the Bishop's bridge and take a little detour through the city center.

The route then takes you back up to the Citadel via the green ramp and the Beautiful Street.

At kilometer 19.6, take the same path in the opposite direction that brought you earlier to the Canadian Chapel. You cover a small kilometer and then turn right towards Malonne. You are back on the 24-km route that you left at kilometer 9.3!

So you still have 15 kilometers to tackle, including a nice climb to the Malonne cemetery!
