The Route

Meet at Haversin station (V). Depart with the train station on your right and at the T-junction take a left onto the N929 towards Namur, then turn left onto the road to Pessoux after 100 m. You will travel along a wide concrete road between individual buildings and then for a while along the railway. Ignore all side streets. When the railway turns left, you will drive into the woods. When you come out, you will see the railway on your left again. Where the wide road bends to the right, continue straight onto Route du Jonkoy for local traffic. ● You will drive between fields and then between individual buildings until you reach the crossing with the N938. Cross this carefully straight ahead and continue on Route des Deux Tilleuls. You pass the village sign of Pessoux and can enjoy a nice view of the village before turning into the first road on the left. At the junction, it will be a one-way street, but not for cyclists. So continue straight ahead. At the end of the road, left to the intersection with the N938. Turn right towards Dinant. ● Now follows a necessary connecting section of 900 m along this wide, somewhat busy road without a bike lane. Just before the edge of the woods, turn left into Rue du Pays de Liège. Just after a large agricultural operation, turn right and continue along the Ferme du Pays de Liège and further through a landscape with a 360° panorama towards Chapois. You pass the agglomeration sign of Chapois and continue between individual buildings. You come to another road and follow this to the right almost straight ahead.

Beautiful view of the Château de Reux

Drive past the church and the village school until you reach Place du Forgniat. Turn left there for the glass containers and cross the railway at the stop in Chapois. Continue straight towards Corbion. You will cross the end of the agglomeration sign of Chapois and enter the open countryside. On the left, you will see the village of Ychippe, on the right in the distance the church and the château of Leignon (1) with the surrounding village. It looks like a postcard. ● You will pass a large agricultural operation, a riding stable, and the agglomeration sign of Corbion. Cross a small junction straight ahead and continue through Rue du Bodan. In the village, you will drive between some farms and along the church until you reach the N925. Turn left. Ignore a road on the right and choose to turn left at the junction towards Chevetogne and Reux. Follow the wide asphalt road along a field cross and turn right into the beautiful avenue to Reux. At the beginning of the avenue, there are posts with chains indicating that you are approaching a castle. ● Ignore a road on the left and continue until reaching the entrance of the beautiful Château de Reux (1909) (2). The beautiful driveway is not accessible, but the view from here is already more than worth it. Drive left along the castle grounds and at the intersection with the water pump, turn right. You pass a lovely pond with an outbuilding of the castle and the Ruisseau de Reux until you reach the crossing with the field cross. Go left through a beautiful avenue to the main road. Straight across a road with a 360° panorama until the junction at the Tilleul de Ronvaux with a field cross. Turn right.

Oxygen Cure

Now, while descending, you can enjoy a wonderful view ahead. You drive past the agglomeration sign of Chevetogne and continue to a junction, where on the corner to the right stands a white field cross with an OLV statue. Straight through Rue Namorimont. ● At the end of the street, you will arrive at a main road, where here too on the corner stands a field cross. Turn left and then right into Rue du Coteau. At the junction, ignore Rue de l’Ywoigne to the left and descend to the right into the open landscape. At the junction with Croix Laurent, turn left into Rue du Presbytère, towards the church of Chevetogne. Ignore the road that climbs diagonally left towards the church and then turn into the first road on your right. At the end, again turn right. Cross the brook l’Iwoigne, ignore a dead end on the left and right, and drive past the Chapelle Saint-Antoine de Padoue (1895) (3) into the open landscape. At the Y-junction, follow the wide road straight until reaching the main road. Turn left towards Rochefort. Then turn into the first road diagonally to the right. ● You are now driving through Rue des Clos Champs, first between individual buildings, then between meadows, and then along the edge of the woods until reaching the N918. Carefully cross straight ahead and continue over a narrow concrete road through the forest. Enjoy this free oxygen cure. ● When you leave the forest, you can admire beautiful views. Starting from the first houses, concrete turns into asphalt. You pass the agglomeration sign of Frandeux and turn left at the end of the road. You drive along the end of the agglomeration sign of Frandeux and the agglomeration sign of Navaugle and reach another road. Follow this to the right.

Endless Views

You drive through the village of Navaugle and continue to N949. Carefully cross this straight ahead and drive through Rue de la Fontaine towards Buissonville. You pass the agglomeration sign of the municipality, turn right at the T-junction, and drive past the church of Buissonville and a beautiful building from 1715. ● Before the cemetery, turn left towards Serinchamps. Stop at the first junction on the right. You drive past the end of the agglomeration sign of Buissonville and enter the open landscape. Enjoy the beautiful views and ignore all side streets. In the center of Serinchamps, you drive past an impressive farm and the church with the walled cemetery. After La Tour de Serinchamps (4), once a forest house of the castle of Serinchamps and now rented as a holiday home, continue left. ● Ignore the road to Hogne on the right and continue straight towards Les Basses. You will first drive along the edge of the forest and then through the forest. You cross the railway and turn on the other side, behind the Sacred Heart statue, left into Rue de Vérenne. Follow this until you reach a junction and turn left onto a narrow asphalt road. On the right, behind the meadow, you will see the Chapelle Saint-Lambert (1700) (4) standing among the trees. On your left, a huge panorama awaits you. ● Ignore a gravel path on the right and then take the first asphalt road on the right. You will reach another road with a column chapel (Saint-Adelin) on the left corner. First, to the right along the edge of the woods, then through the woods. You cross La Molina and arrive next to the Château and the castle courtyard of Haversin (5) from 1669 at the N929. On the other side stands an old farmhouse (1880) in half-timbered construction with bricks, which now houses the Boulangerie Borlon. Drive left past the church with the cemetery of Haversin until you reach the train station.
