Between hill and valley

A unique setting with dunes, fens, heathlands, fields, meadows and lots of forest: that is your reward on this 35 km long loop. You trot between the Kempisch plateaus and the Meuse valley. Along the way you pass a lot of horse-friendly accommodation. In the Orshof you can even rent horses. Between junctions 141 and 142 is the Oudsberg: a land dune that towers 40 m above you. As a rider you can even ride via the route over the Oudsberg. For carriages, this is not possible because of the soft sand. In the horse-friendly café you can taste a local beer and regional dish, while your four-legged friend enjoys a bucket of water. Water also plays the leading role at the challenging ford between junctions 10 and 108.
