This is the route for the third day of the triptych in favor of "Back on Track".
From September 10 to 12, 2021, 50 employees from AZ Maria Middelares and Sint-Vincentius Hospital Deinze will undertake a three-day bicycle tour in support of the "Back on Track" fund (www.backontrackfoundation.com) under the motto "Stronger Together".
This fund, founded by Thomas Van der Plaetsen and AZ Maria Middelares, raises money to make the treatment of cancer patients more bearable by focusing on psychosocial support, rehabilitation programs, etc.

On the third day, participants will return from Ostend to AZ Maria Middelares.

The participants will cycle along the sea to Mariakerke to connect to the old railway line towards Torhout via Stene. The railway line will be briefly left to climb Ruidenberg via Ichtegem. From there, it goes back along Wijnendale Castle to the railway line.

There will be a brief pause at Sint-Vincentius Hospital in Deinze via Torhout, Lichtervelde, Egem, Tielt, Wontergem, and Grammene. Finally, the route returns to AZ Maria Middelares via the bike expressway F7 and the Ringvaart.
