This hike uses the GR 128 and the Streek-GR Heuvelland.

A tour through the green lung of Ypres, a unique piece of nature that owes its existence to an unfulfilled dream of Ypres and a cruel war history. A hike where the memory of the First World War becomes almost tangible and the silence has never been so expressive. The hike consists of two loops. The first leads you along newly planted shrubs, the observatory, and the burned Molen forests to the crater site De Vierlingen. Passing the Gasthuis forests and the recreational meadow, you return to the starting point. The second loop explores the canal bed to the language border, to rediscover the area of De Palingbeek along Lindenhoeks and the Duivelskasteel.
