A walk from the site 'Original Walks' with a rating of 2 blocks. A route description can also be printed. Easy to park and start at the church of Saint-Meen in Brûly-de-Pesche. The walk mostly goes through forest, a small part open plain and along the bank of the Eau Noire. Here one might spot large game, deer or wild boars. At the starting point, the headquarters of the Nazis can also be visited, a bunker built under the canopy of the forest where Hitler prepared for the second phase of the Battle of France. In Couvin, part of the river goes underground in the Grottes de Neptune, which can also be visited via a boat trip, with the added bonus of the Neptune waterfall. Some adjustments have been made: in the description on page 9 instead of taking the left path by the trash can, take the right path by the trash can to the forest road and immediately take the left split on the forest road for about 1 km until reaching a flat area on a path in a spruce forest where you see large rectangular boundary stones, turn right and continue following the description at '...right on the border with Hainaut.' Four lines down: 'Across a cleared plain, you walk to the small bridge..... Once you’ve made the descent, turn left onto the path and walk another 50 meters to the bridge. On page 12: Along the edge of this spruce forest runs a wide grassy path........This path may be overgrown with ferns in summer, but you can also look for trees at the edge of this grassy path as they are marked with thick red/white stripes (GR). It is quite a challenging walk with a climb over the 'Coup des Douze Apôtres', a sturdy climb where several apostles must have cursed, and a nice cool-down in the valley of the Eau Noire. You may count on 5 hours of walking without a picnic. Starting point GPS: Place Saint-Meen, Brûly-de-Pesche.

Under the route information section, scroll to route media, and you can click on a link to a photo series about the walk (thanks to the hikers)
