Did you know that in our small country - in the River Park Scheldt Valley - we have real, European top nature? Nowhere else will you find such a rich river nature that constantly moves with the rhythm of the tides. Thanks to the Sigma plan, we have gained a lot of flood plains in recent years and work is still ongoing. With the European project LIFE Sparc, we chose eight areas of the Sigma plan that will be developed more quickly as a climate buffer. We give the river more space and restore precious tidal nature.
