The nature trail consists of two loops through the Stadsrandbos of Roeselare. Near the parking lot at café de Zilverbergstatie (Oude Zilverbergstraat 30, Roeselare), both the blue loop of 3.8 km and the green loop of 6.4 km start.
The Bergmolenbos is in full development, and gradually lands are being acquired and set up as nature and forest areas. In the forest, you can find various deciduous tree species such as willow, alder, summer oak, and elm. Various shrubs and rose species provide diversity. The existing clay pits form an ideal summer habitat for birds such as the common whitethroat and the willow warbler. In the reed areas, the reed bunting and bittern breed. Furthermore, the Bergmolenbos also has a play area and a traditional orchard.
