This walk takes you through a green setting still remarkable at the gates of Brussels: the valley of the Vogelenzangbeek or the Vlèze (from which the village of Vlezenbeek takes its name). You will be surprised how much green you still see here, so close to Brussels. This walk starts and ends near the Erasmus Hospital. The beginning of the route is easily accessible by metro: get off at "Eddy Merckx" in Anderlecht. It is definitely in my top 10 hiking trails in the area.
