As can be deduced from the name of this walk, the route passes through four different villages, namely Gaasbeek, Sint-Laureins-Berchem, Oudenaken, and Elingen. These villages were previously part of the 'Land of Gaasbeek' but are now incorporated into the municipalities of Lennik, Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, and Pepingen.

The villages of Lennik and Gaasbeek are located in the valley of the Molenbeek, formed by the confluence of the Diepenbroekbeek and the Slagvijverbeek. The Molenbeek flows into the Zuunbeek. This one is incorporated into the Zenne after crossing the Brussels-Charleroi canal at the border between Anderlecht and Drogenbos.

This walk follows quiet concrete roads and well-maintained dirt paths, primarily between fields, meadows, and valleys. It is highly recommended due to the many beautiful views, both in winter and summer.
