At the end of Hedekensdriesstraat, Vijfknokstraat begins, which is a sandy road

This street crosses the Groene Weg and narrows as it descends towards the Olsenesteenweg.

These cross to Maaigemstraat and continue until Machelsestraat.

In Machelsestraat, we visit the "Lookout Tower," which provides a beautiful view over the Leie valley. From the direction of Waregem, everything north of Kruishoutem can be seen up to Ghent. On a clear day, the towers of Ghent (25 km away) can be perfectly seen.

We descend back and after number 10, we turn right onto the slow path, which is also GR route number 129.

Via Hoogmolenstraat, we walk back to Deinsesteenweg and enter Aaishovedriesstraat.

We cross Kasteelstraat and walk into Moerasstraat.

Behind the forest of the castle, we turn left onto the footpath around the Kruishoutem wastewater treatment plant before returning to Moerasstraat.

We turn left onto Wedekensdriesstraat.

Turning right, we continue into St. Elooiskeer.

Before the container park, we turn back onto the slow path that exits behind the cemetery into the center of Kruishoutem.
