You are in the Waasland, in the northernmost part of the province of East Flanders. In this part of 'Blooming East Flanders', rhododendron and boxwood are mainly cultivated. Rhododendron blooms from April to June depending on the species and weather conditions.
You cycle in two loops around Moerbeke and around Lokeren. You cycle through a landscape ranging from the Heidebos in Moerbeke to the Daknamse Meersen and the Molsbroek nature reserve in Lokeren; from the banks of the Moerbeek to the banks of the Durme.
