MTB000 - the 6 villages - sporty 53 km

The tour of the 6 villages!

This circuit is quite demanding physically, more so due to its distance and elevation than its technical level.

However, there are two steep descents (GR path to descend to Rivière and descending Lustin via the Belvedere). It is worth noting that it is possible to “cut short” at several points by returning to the Centre of Profondeville along the Meuse.

The circuit starts by following the Meuse for 3.2 km towards Wépion. A first ascent awaits you with a very nice panorama when you arrive at the place called “Sérimont”.

The itinerary then crosses the Beau-vallon district to take you onto the very playful pathways of the great Hulle wood in Profondeville.

Pass by the viewpoint at la Couleuvrine and then descend towards Rivière by a steep path. You then follow the Burnot and climb towards Bois-de-Villers by a beautiful long ascent through the woods (be careful when crossing the Floreffe road at the College).

When you reach the plateau, the route takes you towards Arbre (passing by the Chapelle St-Donnat) and then Lesve (castle).

You are halfway!

The terrain is then mostly downhill for about ten kilometers through various paths until Annevoie where the climb towards the 7 Meuses (Rivière) awaits you.

Pass by the viewpoint and then descend to the river where you cross the lock. Take a breath because a solid climb towards the CHU of Mt Godinne awaits you. One more effort and you will reach Lustin via a stretch of asphalt while passing through the aerodrome.

The circuit then takes you through the wood of Nismes and descends towards the Meuse by way of the Belvedere.

The last four kilometers bring you back to the center of Profondeville along the water's edge.
