Between the village centers of Iddergem, Welle and Denderleeuw stretches a large contiguous rolling agricultural area of about 285 ha.

The fertile soil of this open coulter is particularly suitable for arable crops of wheat, barley, corn, beets and potatoes.

Some striking points along the route :

1. The Sint Antoniuskapelletje is located at a crossroads of 6 agricultural roads. It was built in the early 20th century by a farmer from Welle and stems from popular beliefs of yesteryear in which crossroads of field roads were considered meeting points of witches and devils. One of the ways to defuse these evil influences was to build a chapel in these places. Striking is the large cross. It comes from the Romanesque church on the Welleplein that had to make way for the new church Sint-Pieters-Banden in 1874.

2. At the foot of an old lime tree, known as THE KALVAAR, a cross and a chapel were placed. According to tradition, father and son Judocus returned from the cattle market in 1860 with a well-stocked cash exchange, when they were stopped here by a gang of robbers. They narrowly escaped and placed a cross in this place in gratitude.
