Dolce La Hulpe - Forest & Castle

For those keen on culture and nature-filled hikes, this itinerary of nearly 10 km starting from Dolce by Wyndham La Hulpe Brussels is the ideal route for contemplating the treasures of the Sonian Forest and Solvay Park, while providing a more intensive workout. With a total climb of 99 m and a maximum slope of 3.6%, this route is aimed at intermediate level hikers. After a walk along the forest and the clearings, you will discover the Folon Foundation and the prestigious La Hulpe Castle and its grounds, finally returning to the property with a stroll through the woods. The visit to the Fondation Folon is optional. However, we strongly recommend it for those who have never been before. There you will discover the dreamlike world of Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon through 150 of his works (watercolours, engravings, posters and sculptures) presented in an original and vibrant setting, as imagined by the artist. The works can be interpreted at several thought-provoking levels for adults and children alike.
