Descrizione dall'autore

This walk starts at the Café des Pêcheurs (V) in the rue des Tilleuls in Mont-Saint-Guibert. With the café on your right, you cross the rue des Tilleuls and cross the Orne and Houssiè- re. Near the pedestrian crossing, turn left onto the path, which you always follow straight along the stone fence wall. You will arrive in a narrow street and on the Place des Martyrs. On a hill further you can see the church. Cross the Place des Martyrs and Rue de la Fosse and now follow the narrow steep paved road between the houses. On the right is a chapel built into the wall. At the top, you arrive at the Grand Place. Turn right. • Further on the Grand-Place, you will arrive at the war memorial. Turn left here and stay left at the crossroads, you are now in Rue des Vignes. Follow it straight. At the Y-junction, follow rue des Vignes on the right (ignore rue Auguste Lannoye on the left). After 100 meters at the T-junction, turn left, still Rue des Vignes. You continue on a paved road and pass the sign of agglomeration of Beaurieux (CourtSaint-Etienne). More and more straight. Rue des Vignes now becomes Rue Vivier Le Duc. The road climbs slowly. You reach a T-junction, here it continues to the left, along the narrower street of Grand Philippe. Soon you will arrive at a white-ochre chapel (Chapelle des Beaurieux) on your right, with a beautiful grotto of Lourdes 1. • You will quickly arrive at a school. The road becomes hollow and descends and you arrive at a Tsplit. Turn right onto the road where only local traffic is allowed. You are now in the street Fossé des Vaux and enter a new residential area. Always go straight ahead and on the square (a mini roundabout) keep right (always Rue Fossé des Vaux). The road climbs slightly, always straight. You arrive at a railway bridge where you pass underneath. Continue straight. Be very careful here, it's narrow and dark and sometimes cars pass by here. Continue straight ahead and turn with it. The road climbs and you come to a piece of asphalt hollow forest road and dra on a road junction. At this busier crossroads – you are here on the Col du Haut Beaurieux – turn right into Rue des Sablières (Mont-Saint-Guibert sign). Continue carefully along this concrete road. On a bridge and 100 meters further, before the first houses, turn left on the path, which is initially paved with cobblestones and still asphalted. At the roundabout, cross Rue des Trois Burettes 2 and continue straight on a country road towards the forests. • Just continue and you will arrive at the rue de Corbais, do not cross it, but immediately take the concrete consolidation road on the left. Turn right at the next T-junction. Cross Rue du Petit Baty. This road winds through fields. You are returning to civilization. Here, immediately after the first building, a farm on your left, turn right. At the T-junction, turn right along the largest road with path: this is the rue de Corbais. Then take the second left, the Chemin de Sevièze, direction Rue Jean Moisse. Then take the first left, Rue de la Source, in the same direction (sign Rue Jean Moisse). • At the bend, leave this road and take the path that goes into the forest (there is a wooden gate with cat eyes for traffic). You now cross the forest a little, then arrive at a T-junction in the rue d'Alvau. Here he goes to the left. At the Y-junction, turn left into the paved cul-de-sac of the Scavées du Sart, cross the bend and pass the Alvau campsite along the Orne, on a dirt road. When you arrive at the street, rue du Nil, turn right, where you will discover the Mill and the Tower of Alvaux. • Follow rue du Nil, pass the Hévillers agglomeration sign, and at the chapel turn right onto rue d'Alvau. Cross the bridge over the Orne and turn immediately left onto the Camino de Santiago which runs along the Orne. You reach a brick tunnel over which the railway passes. Through the tunnel and further along the path along the water, you quickly reach the Rue du Nile. Turn right and a little further left into the road in front of the house with house number 1A. This path takes you back quickly to the rue des Tilleuls, as soon as you reach this street turn left and you are back at the starting point.
