W125 Menen-Cassel-Menen

We start from Menen and cycle towards Cassel. It could just as well be from Wevelgem or Wervik with a small adjustment. We always choose routes with low traffic. Beautiful straight stretches that roll well. It goes via the Helleketel in Poperinge to Steenvoorde. We climb Cassel via the cobblestones. In the Markt, there are plenty of opportunities to have a drink and regain our strength. The return is through rural roads towards Meteren, Bailleul, and further towards Ploegsteert, also along less common paths. Some roads have seen better days, so we need to be cautious now and then. Ultimately, we seek the Leie in Wervik to ride back to our starting point.

Route was last ridden on May 30, 2025 (with a group of 8). Earlier Geert and Wouter also rode it on 11/07/21 and Wouter on 18/07/2021. Karl 08/23 etc...
