The Hoppe walk takes you from Sint-Ulriks-Kapelle to Sint-Martens-Bodegem and back. Before 1950, the landscape was still defined by the fields of hopsstakes.

Each brewery used to have its own hop fields. Now there are only a few left in the municipality. On the way you walk past the Girardin Brewery. Lambiek, Kriek and Geuze are still brewed here.

In Sint-Martens-Bodegem you will find one of the last witnesses of the half-timbered and clay construction in the Pajottenland, the Huisje Mostinckx. This walk is signposted with a 6-corner sign called Hoppewandeling.

START : Sint-Ulrikskerk, Kerkstraat 6, 1700 Sint-Ulriks-Kapelle
