From Ennal to Mont-le-Soie

A walk from the valley of the picturesque hamlet of Ennal (Grand-Haleux) to Mont-Le-Soie, an ascent of 251 meters. The main attraction in Mont-Le-Soie is the European Horse Center. Then descend via the beautiful forest path back to Ennal.

Directions

Start at Rue des Fusillés 1 Ennal (Grand-Halleux). With your back to the chapel, follow R Rue des Fusillés. At the fork, take L Rue Claudisse. Follow this for about 400 m to a T-junction. Here, take L. After about 400 m, at the fork, take L the field path at the edge of the forest. This mostly climbs to Mont-Le-Soie and you will continue to follow it for 2 km until reaching a wide asphalt road (= rue Mont-le-Soie, but the street sign is not visible). Here, take L and after about 300 meters, past a resting bench, take R the field path. At the start of it, there is a short climb and follow this road for about 400 m. Then take L. After about 1 km (junction), take L. You now arrive at the information board of the European Horse Center. After 350 meters, take R towards the riding school. You walk through the stables of the riding school. During non-corona times, there is also an opportunity for refreshments. At the end of the stables, walk L through an avenue or wide horse path. You return to the asphalt road. Follow it for a bit and after 50 meters at a picnic table, go R and follow the hiking path marked with blue signs, and again after 50 meters at the fork, stay left and follow the hiking path with blue signs. This beautiful descending path to Ennal continues for 2 km until you reach a large covered picnic area. Here, take L, Rue des Fusillés, the asphalt road down to the starting point of your walk, about 600 meters away.
