A walk in the Zwalm valley winding along the Zwalm stream with the bonus of some lesser-known unpaved paths from Trage Wegen, including the escape route along the wall of Roborst Castle from a brutal murder of Pastor Van Hollewinckel in 1845. The loot consisted of gold coins and other valuable items as well as many eggs. The trail of broken eggshells led to the arrest of the perpetrators. Afterwards, we cross the Zwalm stream for the first time at Bertelbos, a spring forest noticeable by the wet ground on the route of a continually present spring.
