We did this walk on 12-11-2020

Beautiful nature junction walk in the Antwerp Campine. She starts at the spacious parking lot of camping Floreal. During this walk you also follow part of the beautiful GR Kempen region. One crosses the Lichtaartse forests to walk along the edge of the classified nature reserve 'Zwart Water'.

"The water exerts a strong attraction on waterfowl. Especially in autumn and winter, hundreds of ducks gather there. In early spring, amphibians such as common toad, brown frog, hedge frog, green frog and alpine water salamander deposit their eggs in the shallow water. When spring is in full swing, grebe and dodaars are present and several dragonflies float above the water with the risk of being chased by a tree falcon.

In the bird watching hut you can observe everything. The banks of the Black Water are not accessible due to the vulnerability of the area. A walking route network ensures that you can walk well in the surrounding forests."
