Departure at the E 34 pond where sand was extracted for the construction of the motorway. We walk around the pond and continue along the path by the drainage canal called "de Collateur". We pass the Birch and Campinas beach and continue our path along the small canal in Dessel "de Gracht". We return to the Dessel - Schoten canal and the Groesgoor nature reserve via sand extraction pits from Sibelco back to the starting point. The route is 90% unpaved, sometimes a bit muddy.
