Beautiful Belgian Walk: 130km from Esneux to Envy

To start the season gently, without pushing too hard, we offer you a warm-up starting from Esneux. From the gates of Liège, the route will flirt with the foothills of the Ardennes before crossing the Liège Condroz, then making a wide incursion into the Namur Condroz before ending between Huy and Ouffet. The Condroz, which spans the provinces of Liège and Namur, serves as the link between the large plains of Hesbaye and the rugged Ardennes, with its distinctly more uneven terrain. As a "transitional" region, one might fear that it lacks a bit of character. However, that is certainly not the case: the Condroz has a strong identity, clearly marked, and a certain charm, with its gray stone houses topped with slate roofs.

Here you can find charming valleys, numerous castles, big or small, and many things to discover. To do this, what could be better than talking to a "local"? We didn’t have to look far, as it is our photographer Tché (“Lîdgwès, fir di l’esse et fir dèl mostrer” – “Liégeois, proud to be one and proud to show it”) who, at the beginning of this year, offers us “his” Condroz… A lovely ride, not too long, ideal for getting warmed up, done on a BMW G 310 R, kindly made available to us by BMW Brussels, whom we thank deeply.
