Sonian Forest Network - route 2: from Oudergem via Bosvoorde to Diesdelle

This 12 km long forest walk starts at the Hermann-Debroux metro station, the terminus of line 5, and ends at the Diesdelle train station in Ukkel.

The walk takes you past the beautiful Rood Klooster site and then dives into the Sonian Forest. Via the long Pijnenvoetpad and the Oudergempad, you reach the picturesque Bezemhoek and the park of Bosvoorde. The Kingfisher Footpath then leads you through the valley of the Karregatbeek, along the Drowned Children Pond and the Horseshoe Pond. Then we pass the beautifully restored royal lodge of the former Bosvoorde racetrack, finally reaching the station of Diesdelle, just outside the Sonian Forest.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Starting point: Hermann-Debroux metro station (line 5 from the Central Station). 
End point: Diesdelle train station (Ukkel) on line 26.

At the Central Station, take metro line 5 towards Hermann-Debroux. That's where the walk begins. At the end, at the Diesdelle train station (Vivier d'Oie), you can take the train to Brussels or simply go home.

From the endpoint back to the starting point by public transport: take bus 41 at Diesdelle station towards Transvaal and get off at the Hermann-Debroux metro station. MIVB info: http://www.stib-mivb.be
