Kalmthout -Putte

On the trail you can discover many beautiful nature reserves such as the Mastenbos, the Fort den Ertbrand, the Ossendrecht dunes and the Kalmthout heath. In addition, Kalmthout offers many tourist assets such as the Heideroute. That is a real classic, it has existed since 1975 and is the very first signposted theme route in the Kempen! The Kalmthoutse Heide definitely plays the leading role in this. This cycle route serves 57 km of nature, space and tranquility and a number of beautiful eye-catchers. The basic route is 57 km, the shortening of the northern loop (Kalmthout and Essen) 43 km and the shortening of the southern loop (Kalmthout and Wuustwezel) 39 km. In addition, you also have the LF 2, a long-distance cycle route that sends you from Amsterdam to Brussels, or vice versa and that also passes through Kalmthout.
