For the 12th corona walk, we leave our home base Zedelgem and head to the St-Pietersplas in Bruges. We are pleased to use the parking lot of the domain “Aan de plas” as our starting location. From here, we have mapped out 3 routes with the nature reserve “the Meetkerkse moeren” as the common thread. All distances walk through this unique polder landscape where we find very specific fauna and flora. In addition, we walk along a section of the Oostende-Brugge canal, which is very popular with walkers and cyclists, and of course, we discover the beautiful St-Pietersplas that was created during the excavation of the expressway.
