This 6.5 km walking route is definitely worth it. It explores, among other things, the beautifully laid out village center of Koekelare where numerous artworks and the remarkable Sala Thai can be admired. It continues along the Oosthofpark, the birthplace of the municipality, and the nature reserve de Swal where you can find a rare flower vegetation, to the mountain itself, an extension of the Ruidenberg and about 43 m high. Back along the former castle domain the Motepark after which a nice beer awaits at one of the many terraces.
