The route starts at Sint-Hubertusplein in Sint-Maria-Oudenhove, by Koffie Hoorens. Then it goes via Vossenholstraat (Elverenberg) towards Valkenberg. Here, a stop at the authentic old Flemish pub In Den Hengst is an absolute must. Afterwards, the route heads to the highest hill in the Zwalm region, the Berendries. The walk only takes a small part via the Berendries, but enough to soak up the atmosphere of the famous slope from the Tour of Flanders.
