Park Forest Ghent - enjoying nature

While the car at garage Van Hoe gets a maintenance check, I take a stroll through the Parkbos. By the time my walk is done, my vehicle is waiting for me.

The route is mostly unpaved and runs largely through the Parkbos, south of Ghent. The Parkbos consists of three cores: Grand Noble, Valley of the Rosdambeek and Scheldevelde and the Seven Drives.

Especially in the Rosdambeek valley, it's a true enjoyment of nature. Along a boardwalk, you wander through alder marsh forests while beautiful pollarded willow rows are never far away.

Those who come by public transport can start the walk at the station in De Pinte. The first and last parts of the walk are along quiet roads. During the rest of the journey, you are presented with about 90% unpaved roads. When choosing this alternative, be sure to leave the section of road towards De Klosse on the left.
