Resistance walk in Saint-Marcoult

At the chapel of Saint-Marcoult, where you can listen to the "MaquisStory" about the resistance during World War II, you take the dead-end street of Rue du Haute Pensée. You’ll quickly come to an information board about the drops that took place here by the resistance during World War II. The Maquis of Saint-Marcoult - the vast plain where materials, including weapons, were dropped by the secret army via parachutes - is on the left side of the street. If the crops are not too high, you have a beautiful view over this plain. A little further along, you turn left into the Bois de Ligne. In the woods, a nice gentleman named "Biloute" shows you the way. You now follow about 7 kilometers of the GRP 123 Tour de la Wallonie Piccarde. At Rue de Lekernay (the Lekkernijstraat), the GRP turns right, but you wade further straight ahead into the Cache Walraevend. At the end of the street, you turn left and walk back towards Saint-Marcoult. At an information board and a small playground, you turn right. Between the fields, the walk returns to the starting point.
