The Galgenveld route allows you to discover the open field area northwest of Ninove, a beautiful green space full of rural roads with a stunning view of the leaning tower of the former Abbey Church of Ninove at the end. The name refers to the grim function this area had in the past. In the middle of the field, criminals were hanged at the gallows. Just far enough from the city of Ninove not to be too grim, but close enough to see the bodies hanging from the city.
