The walk mostly takes place on unpaved roads, through fields and forests located in the beautiful Dommel Valley and Heesakkerheide. It also provides a good insight into the history of this lovely region. Due to the current Covid-19 measures, it is not allowed to walk through the domain of Sint-Oda, and we must take a small detour along a quiet road. (This will be adjusted back as soon as it is possible)

Directions:

We start at the information board near the Wedelse mill and follow the bike path to the right (towards Sint-Oda). We turn left into the first dirt road. We follow this until the end. Here we turn left towards the chapel, then right and immediately after the bike path, turn left into the second forest path, follow until the paved road then turn right (Kooiveldstraat), right into Kleinmolenstraat. We keep following this until just before the campsite Ballasthoeve, here turn right, follow the path to the right into the forest until the next crossroads, turn left and cross the bike path. Follow the path along the edge of the forest to the field, turn left to the paved road (Kapelstraat), turn right to Breugelweg, turn left and follow the bike path for 300m, turn right (be careful crossing Breugelweg, into the forest path), turn left into the first forest path (we reach the natural playground here). Keep left until the Sevensmolen, turn left to the information boards about the Dommel Valley, Teuten and Heesakkerheide, follow the parking lot to the Mill Museum. Behind the museum turn right back into the park. First forest path to the left, we follow this until the pond with the artwork “the Amoeba”. We go left around the pond until the first path on the left. We follow this out of the park, here we go left and then the first road on the right. Follow this road and keep right, here we have a view of the Hunnenbedden and a beautiful view over the lovely Dommel Valley. At the end, we turn left again. After about 500 m we come across a rather peculiar signpost in the middle of the fields and meadows. We continue to follow this road until the second path, here turn right and continue until we return to the Wedelse mill.
