Departing at the corner of Grootzand - Vossehoek there is a spacious parking area under the railway bridge. Upon leaving the parking lot, we turn right onto Oud Kerkhofstraat, where on our right side we see the "Koortskapel" and continue our way to the right of the soccer field towards the Scheldedijk.

On this dike, we see the Scheldebrug and the center of Dendermonde to our right, and we continue left along the top of the Scheldedijk with the nature reserve "Groot Schoor" on our right. Opposite Vlassenbroek on the right bank, you can find information about the "Armenputten." Here you need to leave the dike and take the path to the left of the canal and go left at the end, and you will see one of the Armenputten on your left side.

Continue along this dirt road until you reach the highway, where we turn right and then follow the highway to the left until we reach the intersection with traffic lights, which we cross and continue to the chapel "Onze-Lieve-Vrouw ter Nood." Then we cross the street to Bankveldstraat until we leave the cycle highway to the right after 200 m.

At the information board "Grembergse polder," we turn left onto the inner dike between the grazing sheep and continue our way back to the starting point.

This walk is not suitable for strollers and wheelchairs.
