The Hoge Kempen National Park in the Belgian province of Limburg is a unique nature reserve. You cycle through the rural Oudsbergen, where heritage, nature, and agriculture come together. You enter the Duinengordel nature area. A nature reserve where it can be wonderfully quiet. You pass through Opglabbeek to the historic Geuzenbaan, which runs through the forest. This avenue is named after the retreat of William of Orange after the Battle of Geldenaken in 1568.
You cycle through the Itterbeek valley and pass the 13th-century Saint Hubertus church in Neerglabbeek. Just before you return, you spot the Commandery of the German knight order.
