In humid weather, boots will come in handy. Strollers are possible, provided they carry little. Do not forget about the binoculars.

In a few places you will pass some beautiful sculptures by artist Henri Covemaeker.

The four statues that adorn Klerken are:

'De Smid' placed in the Holleweg near intersection 'De Smisse' was unveiled in 1964.

'De Kantwerkster' corner Smissestraat - Jos Janssenstraat, was unveiled in 1970

'De Zaaier' adorns the Coppensplein (Smissestraat), the onyhulling took place in 1966.

'De Seizoenarbeider' or 'De Trimaar' (stokstraat in the name of Jos Janssenstraat) was unveiled in 1968

'Lange Max' a German gun that fired on the westhoek from Klerken in 1915. Located on private terrijn.

In addition to being a visual artist, Henri was also a poet. The path you partly walked was named after him. Together with Guido Bilcke and Mother Elisabeth, Klerken remains an eternal memory of their existence.
